Valentine’s Day is one of those holiday’s I find that as we grow up, we begin to take way too seriously. We worry too much about being single, or if we’re in a relationship, feeling obligated to buy cheesy crap for our significant other because Hallmark tell us we have to. That’s why I like to throw it back to the day’s of elementary school, where it was all about just having fun. These projects are a reminder to myself, and hopefully others that see them, that even as adults, single or taken, that the youthful spirit of Valentines Day doesn’t have to end just because we grow up.

This project is special to me, because it’s the first event we are hosting under the company OffKey. It was inspired by the art of Alexis Mabry, whom we were lucky enough to have design the flier and custom Valentine’s cards as you see below. The event itself, which takes place Valentines 2018 at the local West Palm Beach bar 123 Datura, will also be the first that I take a step back from djing and focus on primarily hosting. We will feature a hand made wooden kissing booth, raffle prizes, games like Speed Dating, Truth or Dare, and my personal favorite, Third Wheel of Fortune. Dave & I will be doing an on location Podcast for BoomBox Broadcast and much more. We will share more with you after the event via social media.

As I first entered into the world of Film Making, I decided to try my luck at a developing a cooking show with a comedic spin to it using my geek alter ego. What a better way to kick off the pilot than on Valentines Day?! Unfortunately, I did not continue on with this series, but nonetheless it was fun to do.

This script was written in a matter of hours by Zach Johnson and I, and became a test to see if we could pull off a short film with a very constricted budget. With the help of lots of great friends, this is what we came up with. The film was featured on my favorite horror blog, Bloody Disgusting.
