In modern times, we tend to take for granted the luxury that is the shower. Most of us shower once a day. Some of us twice or even three times, depending on the extent of physical labor being done, but throughout history, this was almost unheard of. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that daily showering really became the norm. During the 1960’s, it was still common practice to only bathe once a week, and no one seemed to be particularly disturbed by one another’s body odor. Let’s take a nostalgic trip back to the 1960’s and imagine what bath time would have been like if we only had one day a week to do it.
